Los Angeles, California- January 26, 2015 – There once was a time when hungry moms had no choice but to dine at restaurants where their kids had to quietly sit still while eating, and when working moms had no choice but to arrange for childcare while they attended business related meetings. That time is no longer. Giggles ‘n’ Hugs and Playdate Connection are joining mommy-empowering forces to help moms be the best they can be in both mommy and professional roles.

The Giggles ‘n’ Hugs CEO Joey Parsi, has partnered with Playdate Connection CEO Michelle Arevalo, to host a grand Community Playdate event on January 26th from 3-5pm at Giggles ‘n’ Hugs Century City, which will bring Los Angeles Mompreneurs together to business network while their kids play. While moms are business networking, kids under the age of ten will enjoy free admission playtime valued at $11.00 per child (menu items are not free).

“We’re happy to be able to support mompreneurs and provide a place for them to network while their kids have some fun at Giggles ‘n’ Hugs,” said Joey Parsi. “My wife is a mompreneur. She’s the one who dreamt up the idea of Giggles ‘n’ Hugs, and I made it happen on the business end.”

Joey Parsi and his wife Dora Parsi, founded Giggles ‘n’ Hugs in 2008. Giggles ‘n’ Hugs is a family restaurant and playspace with three locations in Los Angeles including Century City, Glendale and Woodland Hills.

“We look up to Mr. Parsi because he has turned Giggles ‘n’ Hugs into a resounding success. His desire to help moms in business is very valuable since he is a successful business owner himself,” said Michelle Arevalo of Playdate Connection.

Playdate Connection, is a Los Angeles based organization which hosts events at various kid-friendly locations from the San Fernando Valley to the Westside to support mompreneurs, and allow them to business network while their kids play at an eye’s distance.

“So many mompreneurs have the common challenge of trying to find time to work on their business. For this reason, Playdate Connection provides the unique opportunity for  mompreneurs to bring their kids to work while they network and learn new business knowledge. It definitely  helps moms save money on babysitting,” said Arevalo. “At a networking playdate, it’s okay when a meeting gets interrupted because a child needs his mommy, and it’s okay to breastfeed while in a Business Mastermind Meeting. Moms in our group support each other’s businesses – we would rather shop within our network first, before going to a larger retailer.”

Joey Parsi understands the challenges that mompreneurs face, and offers valuable advice to mom’s operating businesses, or considering the launch and operation of a business.

“My advice to mompreneurs and parents who are looking to start or grow a business, is to not think about all the stuff that goes in to it – and just do it,” said Parsi. “If you think about all the logistics that are involved in starting a business, you won’t ever get started. The best advice I can give is to ‘just do it.'”

Within seven years of operation, Giggles ‘n’ Hugs has already been voted LA’s #1 kids party place, #1 family restaurant and #1 indoor playspace – accolades that many Los Angeles mompreneurs who run small businesses aspire to achieve.

“It takes persistence, dedication, and hard work just to get a business off the ground,” Parsi said. My wife and I have three children, and it definitely comes with challenges. But what makes a successful business stand out, are those who ‘just do it.'”

Giggles ‘n’ Hugs child admission is free for this particular event as a one time complimentary play time. Adults are always free, and a full service restaurant menu is offered at regular rates.
